less than 5000 square kilometers, and a habitat that is poor in quality.
Pigmy possums are nocturnal, and play dead when threatened. Most
live in fragmented sub populations on the continent/island of Australia.
NORTHERN HAIRY NOSED WOMBAT: The Northern Hairy Nosed Wombat
is classified as extremely endangered due to an extent of occurrence of
less than 100 square kilometers. There are only 50 mature individuals
left in the wild. All are living in an extremely fragmented population
on the continent/island of Australia.
